There's something to be said about a little deli that can pull in the punters, and keep everyone, from office workers, friends catching up over a coffee and ladies who lunch, coming back. Embo delicatessen at the top of Leith Walk is one such place - and it's clearly a welcome addition to the deli scene for the regulars who queue patiently come lunchtime.
The atmosphere is a relaxed combination of funky surroundings and artistic expression. Natural wooden twisted tables, high wooden chairs and bright green walls laden with original artworks by local artists make the deli that extra bit special. The start of the show though is the counter full of colourful fresh salsas, homemade pesto and guacamole, roasted vegetables and fresh cold cuts and cheeses. |
